Arsenal will top the Premier League table at the halfway point in the campaign after a vital period in the title race.

Manchester City suffered a controversial defeat at Old Trafford in recent weeks, as Manchester United established themselves as a potential outsider in the hunt for silverware, before coming from 0-2 down to Spurs at halftime midweek to smashing them 4-2 in the second half.

The Gunners bagged North London bragging rights on Sunday last with an impressive victory over Tottenham, admittedly with a bit of help from Spurs ‘keeper Hugo Lloris. A win over Manchester United at the Emirates this Sunday will see chalking up 50 points after 19 Premier League matches.

Newcastle have overtaken Man United into third, they’ve gone unbeaten over their five games since the Premier League returned following the World Cup but, they only won two of those five league fixtures and failed to score in three of them. If they are to push City above them they need to find more goals.

The Red Devils failed to build on their Manchester derby victory in midweek as Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise hit an incredible free-kick at the death to share the spoils at Selhurst Park.
