A few days after their Premier League meeting, Manchester City and Chelsea are set to go at it again, this time in the FA Cup.

Riyad Mahrez stepped off the bench to tap home fellow substitute Jack Grealish’s cross and settle Thursday’s clash at Stamford Bridge, which could see the widemen step into Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up for this weekend’s third-round tie.

The reigning Premier League champions head into the match having already knocked Chelsea out of one competition on home turf this season after a 2-0 win in the Carabao Cup third round in November.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Despite being in poor form under new boss Graham Potter, the Blues have reached the FA Cup final at Wembley in each of the last three seasons and will be bidding to go one better this term.

Chelsea travel to the Etihad Stadium with a whole host of injury problems, however, and the pressure mounting on Potter to cast a winning spell.

Thommo: I’m going for City to Win this because they’re at home and I think it will be something like 3-1. I don’t think Erling Haaland will play, I think he’ll be rested, that foot injury seems to be bothering him so I’ll go for Julian Alvarez to Score Anytime.
