Tuesday 7pm: Wales v England
TV: BBC, BBC iPlayer, RTE
People are desperate for Phil Foden to start for England against Wales after he didn’t feature against USA on Friday night and I have to agree. I don’t see how you can not play Foden. He’s got great pace, he’s creative and he’s got a goal in him.
Yes, you could say Mason Mount is similar but he hasn’t got Foden’s pace. He also won’t beat a few men in tight areas like the Manchester City man does.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
It’s going to be tight against Wales and England will have most of the possession so Foden has to play on Tuesday night.
I also feel that Marcus Rashford has done enough to start against Wales. He could replace Raheem Sterling in the starting XI.

Rashford scored in the win against Iran and he’s looked lively whenever used by Gareth Southgate in Qatar. Sterling hasn’t been in the best form recently so I’d mix it up and play the Manchester United forward.
We need to beat Wales to finish top of the group and we don’t play for five days after it. For that reason, I’d also start Harry Kane, even if he’s a slight injury doubt.
Wales will be lumping balls forward for Kieffer Moore and he’s a real handful. England need to be at it.
