After three years at Leicester, Brendan Rodgers could be on borrowed time at the King Power Stadium if their form doesn’t turn around.
The Foxes are near the bottom of the Premier League after winning just three of their opening fixtures and the fans – not to mention the owners – are getting restless.
A brief respite when beating fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest 4-0 at the King Power was followed by another defeat as they went down 2-1 to Bournemouth. However, they bounced back when beating fellow strugglers Leeds and Wolves.
And while you have to have some sympathy for Rodgers with the Foxes selling their best players in every summer transfer window during his reign, seven defeats in nine games speaks for itself.
So if the former Liverpool and Celtic manager is heading for the exit, who could replace him at Leicester?
Paddy’s trusty traders are here to help you separate the wheat from the chaff and they’ve priced up the runners and riders as to who might be the next Leicester manager.
Brentford gaffer Thomas Frank is the current favourite for the Leicester job.
He’s attracting plenty of interest from the East Midlands as his team sit ninth in the Premier League table, with 14 points from their opening 11 games, including that statement 4-0 victory against United.
Former Burnley boss Sean Dyche will likely be back in the Premier League soon, with Bournemouth – and potentially Leicester – sniffing around for a new manager.
Premier League owners know what they’re going to get with Dyche and he’s the ideal appointment to help a team who are in free fall.
Would Leicester fans be happy with Dyche’s style of play or is that out of the window if relegation is a genuine threat?
Lets talk about facts. Rafa Benitez has a CV as long as his ill-fitting waistcoats and would surely be a steady hand at the King Power. It feels like a job he’d jump at, given his desire to work in England, and you suspect he’d do pretty well there as well.
Former Norwich boss Daniel Farke has been making moves in this market. A specialist in failure in the Premier League with The Canaries he’s now in charge at Borussia Monchengladbach at The Bundesliga.
Remember when John Terry said he’d refuse to play against Chelsea if he was at another club? If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got the Leicester job, it kind of feels like a similar situation when the Foxes face Manchester United…
Solskjaer has been out of work since leaving Old Trafford last year but does he have the tactical nous to turn Leicester’s fortunes around?

After a slow start to life in the Championship at Norwich, Dean Smith has got them firing. They’re challenging at the top of the table.
Smith did a solid job at Aston Villa before being sacked in a decision that divided their fans. It could be a tough opportunity for Smith to turn down if he gets the call.
The 50-year-old has only managed in homeland but he’s going to know the Premier League inside out with a number of his players plying their trade in England.
Hjulmand guided Denmark to the semi-finals of Euro 2020 where they lost against England in extra time at Wembley.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Brentford gaffer Thomas Frank is the current favourite for the Leicester job.
He’s attracting plenty of interest from the East Midlands as his team sit ninth in the Premier League table, with 14 points from their opening 11 games, including that statement 4-0 victory against United.
Would it be a good move for the Foxes?
Sean Dyche
Former Burnley boss Sean Dyche will likely be back in the Premier League soon, with Bournemouth – and potentially Leicester – sniffing around for a new manager.
Premier League owners know what they’re going to get with Dyche and he’s the ideal appointment to help a team who are in free fall.
Would Leicester fans be happy with Dyche’s style of play or is that out of the window if relegation is a genuine threat?
Mauricio Pochettino
There may be questions about Dyche’s style of play but that certainly isn’t an issue for Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine is available after leaving PSG this summer and his stock is always high after doing an impressive job at Tottenham.
However, it remains to be seen whether Pochettino is keen to go from managing the likes of Lionel Messi to taking over Leicester’s out-of-form stars.
Rafa Benitez
Lets talk about facts. Rafa Benitez has a CV as long as his ill-fitting waistcoats and would surely be a steady hand at the King Power. It feels like a job he’d jump at, given his desire to work in England, and you suspect he’d do pretty well there as well.
Marcelo Bielsa
Most football fans would love former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa to return to the Premier League. Who didn’t enjoy watching his ridiculous murderball?
Whether he’d keep Leicester up is unknown but the next nine months would certainly be entertaining for the Foxes.
Daniel Farke
Former Norwich boss Daniel Farke has been making moves in this market. A specialist in failure in the Premier League with The Canaries he’s now in charge at Borussia Monchengladbach at The Bundesliga.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Remember when John Terry said he’d refuse to play against Chelsea if he was at another club? If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got the Leicester job, it kind of feels like a similar situation when the Foxes face Manchester United…

Smith did a solid job at Aston Villa before being sacked in a decision that divided their fans. It could be a tough opportunity for Smith to turn down if he gets the call.
Kasper Hjulmand
Kasper Hjulmand is boss of the Denmark national team.
The 50-year-old has only managed in homeland but he’s going to know the Premier League inside out with a number of his players plying their trade in England.
Hjulmand guided Denmark to the semi-finals of Euro 2020 where they lost against England in extra time at Wembley.
Roy Hodgson
Unless Roy Hodgson‘s wife wants him out of the house, it seems unlikely that he will take the Leicester job.
The 75-year-old is probably enjoying his retirement after a lengthy and successful career.
Claudio Ranieri
This would be poetic wouldn’t it?
Claudio Ranieri guided Leicester to the Premier League title in 2016 but could he return to his old stomping ground?
Ranieri, 70, was last in charge of Watford but he was axed earlier this year.
Never say never.
