Paddy Power erects commemorative wooden bench in honour of Cristiano Ronaldo

A fitting tribute if ever there was one.

While Manchester United’s first team make their way to Chelsea for today’s clash, we’ve made an effort to lift wantaway star Cristiano Ronaldo’s spirits by erecting a tribute to his second spell at the Red Devils.

Paddy’s crack team of mischief makers descended on an eerily quiet Old Trafford on Saturday morning to place a bench to mark the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s forgetful encore at the Premier League giants.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

And attached to the wooden seat was a plaque, reading: ‘In honour of Ronaldo’s second stint at Man United. £480,000 a week to sit on a bench.’

It’s been a bad couple of weeks for Ronaldo; he’s being stuck with his backside on the naughty step. Unfortunately his second time in Manchester hasn’t panned out as he would’ve hoped and it looks as though it’s about to end too SIIIIIUUUUUUUUUN!

The tribute comes amid increasing speculation relating to CR7’s future at the club after he stormed to the dressing rooms before the final whistle during Wednesday night’s 2-0 victory over Spurs.

Following the outburst the club’s manager Erik ten Hag stated that the prolific forward would not be in the squad for today’s crucial match against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Paddy’s traders have been beavering away working out Cristiano Ronaldo’s next club odds. Here, today’s opponents Chelsea are the front runners while Roma and Sporting Lisbon round off the top contenders.

Further down in the betting are “Any Saudi Arabian Club”, “Any MLS club” and he’s double figures to join the legion of his fellow countrymen at Wolves.
