It wouldn’t be a normal week without a punter taking us to the cleaners and that happened again on Sunday October 16 as one lucky punter managed to turn a £5 acca into a stunning £25,192 after their 18-fold footie acca landed.

The lucky bettor predicted the outcome of 18 games across numerous leagues around the globe to make it a weekend they’ll never forget!

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

They got slightly nervous towards the end and they cashed out for just over £25k, however, they only missed out on around £1,500, so it was a smart business decision!

Let’s tell you how it landed.

Our winner’s bet kicked off at midday on Sunday as Rangers travelled to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership. The away side went 2-0 up before Motherwell pulled one back in the 77th minute, however, the first leg was complete.

The bet then turned to other leagues around the world, with our punter focusing on games in Spain, Holland, Germany and Ukraine.

Celta Vigo v Real Sociedad, FC Twente v FC Groningen, PSV v FC Utrecht, Paderborn v SV Sandhausen and Rukh Vinnyky v Dnipro-1 all made the betslip.

There were a few convincing wins, including PSV beating FC Utrecht 6-1, but the bet nearly fell short in Rukh Vinnyky v Dnipro-1.

With the game poised at 2-2 after an hour, it looked destined to finish level. However, a 95th minute winner for Dnipro-1 secured them all three points – and kept our punter’s bet alive!

The 2pm Premier League games were then under the microscope, with our winner needing Chelsea to beat Aston Villa and Arsenal to win at Leeds.

Graham Potter’s men came away with a 2-0 win, while Arsenal rode their luck and won 1-0 at Elland Road.

Attention then turned to games between 3pm and 4pm, including Austria Vienna v Red Bull Salzburg, Gent v Yellow-Red Mechelen, Akritas Chlorakas v APOEL, Midtjylland v AC Horsens, Valerian v Bodo Glimt.

They all went to plan thanks to Midtjylland bagging an 86th minute winner to secure all three points.

After a couple of other routine wins, it was all riding on Verona v AC Milan in Serie A.

Our punter needed Milan to win and the bet got off to the perfect start after just nine minutes after Miguel Veloso netted an own goal.

Verona answered back 10 minutes later through Koray Gunter and it stayed level until the 81st minute until Sandro Tonali bagged to see the bet land!

That 2-1 scoreline meant our lucky punter scooped the £25,192 prize pot. So, all we can do is welcome yet another lucky winner to our Punting Hall Of Fame!
