Tottenham have been busy too, with Antonio Conte adding stars alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Manchester United have spent big on centre-half Lisandro Martinez as Erik ten Hag looks so solve their defensive issues.

The chasing pack, including the likes of West Ham, Aston Villa and Wolves, have also made key additions to their squads.

There will be plenty more moves this summer but when is the transfer deadline? Paddy Power News has all the details.

When does the summer transfer window close for Premier League clubs?

The summer transfer window opened on June 10, 2022 and it’ll close on September 1, 2022.

The Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 will all have to conclude their business on that day. However, the final times are slightly different.

In England, deal sheets will have to be in before the window closes at 11pm.

After the transfer window slams shut – because it doesn’t just close, right? – Premier League clubs will be able to sign free agents to bolster their squads.

Other key dates for the Premier League season

The 2022/23 Premier League season will get underway on August 6, 2022.

Domestic action will return on Boxing Day following the conclusion of the World Cup, with the final taking place on December 18 2022.

It’s then full steam ahead with Premier League – and European – action, with the final games of the season taking place on May 28, 2023.
