What a difference 12 month can make. This time last year Gareth Southgate’s England were setting off on their journey to the Euro 2020 final and everything was rosy in the Three Lions camp.

But it’s all been downhill since that Wembley defeat and a disastrous round of Nations League games at the end of the domestic club season has England fans in meltdown.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Home and away losses to Hungary, as well as a drab draw with Italy and a fortuitous one with Germany have raised questions over whether he’s getting the best out of this squad, certainly going forward.

They’ve scored one goal in their last four games, a Harry Kane penalty against Germany. So, with the pressure mounting, Paddy’s traders have built some special Southgate markets.

And they think there’s a good chance Gareth Southgate leaves his post as England manager before the first game of the 2022 World Cup.

With the threat of relegation from the top tier of the Nations League looming large we’ve also priced up England to lose their next 2 UEFA Nations League matches.

If Southgate continues until the World Cup in Qatar over the winter there’s a big price on England to lose or draw each of their 3 World Cup Group B matches though that would take some doing with another pretty soft looking set of opponents.

If you think a complete capitulation is on the cards then you can back England to lose each of their 3 World Cup Group B Matches at a massive price.

Similarly, there’s a market if you fancy England to lose their next 2 UEFA Nations League matches and not to qualify from Group B in World Cup 2022. Surely it can’t get that bad?
