Breaking news: Mbappe’s mum appointed new PSG Director of Football

Think they really did give him a blank cheque

PSG today confirmed Kylian Mbappe’s mother is set to replace Leonardo as Sporting Director, following the Brazilian’s departure over the weekend.

Outspoken 48-year-old Fayza Lamari played a pivotal part in her son signing a new contract at PSG and will be rewarded with the prominent executive position in her son’s new regime at the club.

And she is already planning to rename the PSG stadium to Les Parc Des Kylian after her son, and reportedly will only allow ‘Mbappe 7’ shirts to be sold in the club store for the next three years.

“Neymar’s already been in her office to complain, but they just gave him a roll of bubblewrap to pop and that’s shut him up for a few hours,” we were told.

And if any of the other squad members complain the club owners have agreed to finance their immediate transfer to a random Scottish Premier League or Championship team.

Agreement to these measures, plus a solid gold private bathroom for Mbappe at the ground, ownership of three oil wells in the Middle-east and the £1m-per-week and £100m signing fee convinced him he should stay.

Laziri’s role in the deal has also sent a massive “up-yours” to Real Madrid head honcho, Florentino Perez.

“Florentino’s reeling – first the Super League debacle, now he’s been mugged off by someone’s mum.” a Paris-based source told us.

“Even if she makes Adrien Rabiot’s mum look like Mrs Merton.”

But the Real Madrid chief is not taking it lying down, as he has lodged official complaints to footballing authorities over the French club’s compliance with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

“Naturally Florentino’s outraged – Madrid are supposed to be the club who f**ks everyone else over, not the other way around.’ we were told by a source close to the Spanish hierarchy.

Paddy Power News managed to obtain an official comment from a UEFA spokesperson on PSG’s financial obligations.

“UEFA’s FFP Compliance Department takes these rules very seriously.

“Just because we’ve let Man City get away with it for the past 15 years it doesn’t mean we will not treat this Mbappe contract debacle with the due diligence it deserves. We just don’t want to hear it from anybody at Real Madrid thank you very much.

“We also have more pressing matters at hand, like picking obscure cities for European finals, finding new format changes to ruin the Champions League, and comparing Rolexes. Expect a 360-page report on PSG’s transfer activity by 2028.”
