After a thrilling Premier League title race came to a conclusion on Sunday, attention has already turned to next season.

Manchester City, who will have added star striker Erling Haaland to their squad, will be battling with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at the top of the table once again.


Chelsea will be hopeful of resolving their ownership issues and kicking on, while Tottenham will be balancing Premier League and Champions League football.

Manchester United will hope it’s the start of a bright new era with Erik ten Hag in the hotseat, while Arsenal will be desperate to secure a place in the Champions League.

Not only will football fans have Premier League football to watch next season, we’ve also got the small matter of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this winter.

But what are the key dates everyone needs to keep in mind for this campaign? Well, you don’t need to worry because we’ve got you sorted!

The 2022/23 Premier League season will get underway on August 6, 2022.

Premier League sides will continue to play until the weekend of November 12-13, 2022 before the World Cup gets underway in the following week.

Domestic action will return on Boxing Day following the conclusion of the World Cup, with the final taking place on December 18 2022.

It’s then full steam ahead with Premier League – and European – action, with the final games of the season taking place on May 28, 2023.

The Premier League fixture schedule for the coming season will be released on June 16, 2022.
