Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has been given a guided tour of the Old Trafford dugout by its permanent-resident Donny van de Beek, Paddy Power News can reveal.
It’s understood Rangnick was eager to see where the Dutch international has spent the last 15 months of his career.
Onlookers overheard the former Ajax playmaker telling his new boss: “This is the substitutes bench, or as the players have affectionately dubbed it ‘The Donny van de Beek Suite’.
“I spend a lot of time here, thinking about the move to Real Madrid I turned down. But mainly chewing gum.

“You can get a great view of McFred from here too. It’s like a free-season ticket to watch some of the worst midfield play ever.
“This is your seat in front of mine, Ralph. I’ll be mostly scowling at the back of your head until May.”
The German was also given a guided tour of Manchester United’s treatment room by Phil Jones, Paul Pogba and Rafael Varane.
Rangnick was said to be particularly impressed by the countless hours of social media activity Pogba had clocked up while on an exercise bike during his rehabilitation from injury.
“That’s my arse print on the treatment table gaffer,” said Jones to the former RB Leipzig coach.
“Rafa’s working on an arse print of his own but these things take time,” added the 29-year-old defender.
Meanwhile, United have refused to be drawn on rumours that coach Mick Phelan has suddenly started speaking with a German accent.
Sources claim United players were left stunned in training this morning when the Lancashire-born 59-year-old began barking instructions in a Swabian dialect.
“Harry (Maguire) thought Mick was calling him a snail but he was just telling him to go faster,” said one source.
In related news, Michael Carrick unceremoniously left the United WhatsApp group last night before signing off with a rant about there being too many snakes about these days and it was gonna be just him and the kids from now on.
