Well, well, well, they’re fashionably late to the party but the Premier League big boys are finally ready to join in the EFL Cup fun.

After receiving a couple of byes for participating in Europe, the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea enter in the third round as the competition heats up.

The draw for the EFL Cup third round will take place on Wednesday August 25 after the conclusion of the second-round match between West Brom v Arsenal, which is scheduled to kick off at 8pm. If the tie is settled in normal time without a penalty shootout then the draw should be conducted from around 10pm.
