Levy sets up camp on desert island with no reception as City pursue Kane

Maybe ghosting Sheikh Mansour will work?

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will spend the remainder of the current transfer window on an unchartered and uninhabited island with zero phone reception, Paddy Power News understands.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

The 59-year-old tycoon set up camp on the island earlier today having washed ashore on a makeshift raft he fashioned out of a portaloo door.

Levy was on a business flight destined for Malaysia when he accidentally fell from the plane while attempting to throw his phone into the sea below.

Cabin crew claim Levy became irate after being bombarded with calls from an unknown number and opened an emergency exit to dispose of the cellular device.

However, upon opening the hatch, Levy created a vacuum inside the cabin and was sucked from the aircraft along with a loo door and a football emblazoned with Harry Kane’s face.

A search and rescue team managed to track Levy down but he has refused to leave the island until 11pm on Tuesday 31st August.

Luca Flair, who led the search and rescue expedition told Paddy Power News:

‘We thought he’d (Levy) be relieved to see us but he started shouting ‘turn your f**king phones off’ as soon as we set foot on the island’.

‘He told us he’d passed the hours by decorating his cave and talking to a football which he’d affectionately dubbed ‘Harry’.

Harry Kane

‘Unfortunately Harry got washed out to sea when one of the lads tried a rabona which went awry during a little kickabout on the beach. Poor Daniel was distraught’.

‘It didn’t help matters the guy was a City fan’.

Meanwhile, Spurs striker Harry Kane is said to be furious with Levy’s refusal to let him leave after he spent hours updating his FIFA avatar to wear a Man City kit.

‘We had a gentleman’s agreement’, raged Kane.

‘We shook hands and he should honour our agreement – unlike the legally binding multimillion pound 5-year contract I signed’.
