All jokes aside, it looks like football’s actually coming home.
England are in their first major final for the first time in 55 years after a nail-biting extra-time victory against Denmark. The Three Lions have home advantage but they’re in for their stiffest test of the tournament.
Italy are unbeaten in 33 games and playing some sterling stuff under Roberto Mancini so the Azzurri’s tails are up. It promises to be a cracker which is the least we deserve after waiting an extra year for the tournament.

England v Italy kick-off time
The UEFA Euro 2020 final between England and Italy kicks off at 20:00 on Sunday July 11.
If the scores are level after 90 minutes then the match will go to 30 minutes of extra-time and penalties if required.
England v Italy team news
England boss Gareth Southgate will be hoping a fully-fit squad is at his disposal after 120 minutes of action against Denmark.
Substitute Jack Grealish was taken off in extra time of the semi-final tie but it was a tactical decision as opposed to an injury problem.
The greatest dilemma for Southgate will be whether to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation that has served England well or switch to a five-at-the-back system.
WHEN:Sunday, July 11: 8pm WHERE: Wembley Stadium, London TV: BBC, ITV and RTÉ2
Italy have had an extra day’s recovery time thanks to their semi-final taking place first.
The Azzurri will once again be without Leonardo Spinazzola (Achilles) so Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri is expected to continue in his place at left-back.
Mancini is likely to stick with the XI that started against Spain although Domenico Berardi will be pushing to start after an impressive cameo off the bench.
Paddy Paddy ambassador and Liverpool legend Phil Thompson believes it’ll be a hard-fought match with England coming out on top in extra time.
“I just think this game will go to extra time and end with a Draw after 90, I really do. I just think England will have that bit more. I do believe England have a better bench and that is going to count for so much later in the game as it does go on. It’s going to be massive,” Thommo told us.
“The other thing is, the first goal is going to be so important. I think if England get it it will be hard for the Italians. If Italy get it, it will be hard for England. I’m not seeing a shedload of goals in this, I’m really not. I think it’s going to be very, very tight.
“I think Harry Kane will score first. His performance against Denmark, he was unbelievable. His pass through to Bukayo Saka, which created the own goal, was just superb. He just seems to be getting better with every game. He seems to be getting fitter, I don’t know why. But Harry Kane, for me, will be on the scoresheet.”
