Andrea Pirlo spends morning watching Kalvin Phillips YouTube vids

Mind. Blown.

Italian World Cup winner Andrea Pirlo spent this morning watching YouTube compilation videos of Kalvin Phillips’ performances, Paddy Power News understands.

The 42-year-old former Milan and Juventus playmaker noticed the phrase ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’ trending on Twitter yesterday following Phillips’ virtuoso display in England’s 1-0 victory over Croatia.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Keen to see what all the fuss was about, Pirlo typed the Leeds United midfielder’s name into YouTube and began watching a series of compilation videos.

‘He’s so good, it’s only a matter of time before people start calling me the Italian Kalvin Phillips’, Pirlo told Paddy Power News.

‘He has great energy, a wonderful range of passing and beautifully maintained facial hair – which is a must for a cool looking midfield maestro’, said Pirlo whilst stroking his own the impeccably groomed beard.

‘It pains me to say this but they may as well hand England the trophy now with Phillips in their side. Looks like it really is coming home this time for f**k sake’, wept the Italian.

Asked if there was a way teams could stop the 25-year-old, Pirlo remarked:

‘Get Park Ji-sung to do a man-marking job on him’.

When informed that South Korea weren’t eligible to participate in the European Championships and Park Ji-sung retired from football 7 years ago, Pirlo replied:

‘Relax Statto’.

Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate heaped praise on Phillips for his display during England’s victory.

‘I thought he was a right back but turns out he’s a decent midfielder’.

‘I reckon he could do a decent job at right back. I love a good right back’.

In other news, Southgate has denied rumours he is going to reprise his role as Jim Levenstein in a 5th instalment of the American Pie franchise.

‘As much as I enjoyed playing the role of Jim, no one wants to see a 50-year-old man making love to an apple tart’, he remarked.
