Sweden recalled to Zlatan Ibrahimovic national team

What an honour for Sweden to get the call.

Sweden has been recalled to the Zlatan Ibrahimovic national team following a five-year hiatus, it has emerged.

The 39-year-old gave his permission for the Nordic country to return to international duty following extensive talks with coach Janne Anderson.

Zlatan called time on Sweden’s international career following his group stage elimination from Euro 2016, with the striker telling supporters he wished to spend more time with his ego.

Discussing the move with Paddy Power News, the AC Milan forward said: “After a lot of thought, I’ve decided the time is right for Sweden to play for Zlatan again.

“To represent Zlatan is the greatest honour I could bestow upon my country.

“This will undoubtedly be the highlight of my teammate’s lives and I’m thrilled for them.”

It’s understood the former Barcelona star made the U-turn on Sweden’s international future after a personal plea from King Carl XVI Gustaf.

“I had talks with the king of Sweden,” revealed King Carl XVI Gustaf. “He assured me he was willing to give Sweden one final opportunity to represent Zlatan.”

“I’m very much looking forward to Sweden’s Zlatan comeback game against Georgia,” added the monarch.

Meanwhile, Sweden has revealed just what it means to play for Zlatan.

“I cannot wait to get on the pitch and give my all for my Zlatan,” Europe’s 5th largest county told Paddy Power News.

“Not many countries get to represent Zlatan so this is dream come true.”

However, Swedish doctors have warned that any potential reunion could be delayed after a scan revealed Zlatan had an enlarged head.

“It’s true, Zlatan has a very big head,” said team doctor Jesper Flattenpax. “How he is able to keep his balance, let alone play football is a marvel of modern science.”

But it’s not the first time the former Ajax hitman has wowed the medical world after it emerged Zlatan lost his virginity before his father.
