Paddy Power footie punter scores £2k off just a £1 stake on class Championship acca

This is the stuff of Saturday acca dreams!

You lads and lasses just keep doing it! Another sporting weekend is in the books and yet again, our number crunchers have been spanked by a crafty customer. This time it was a punter from Dartford, Kent who did the damage on Saturday with an awesome accumulator that has us still scratching our heads as to how it came in.

The bonkers bet correctly called the results of seven games in England’s Championship, and our winner beat off odds of 2,103/1 to net the cash. As usual with bets of this kind, there was some bold calls in there and more than a little luck was needed along the way.

However, it must have been a sweet Saturday when the last result came in to confirm the bet costing just £1 was up and winnings of £2,104 were secured. Let’s tell you the story of how the loot was landed.

We start our journey at the Riverside Stadium as Middlesbrough welcomed Birmingham City for the early kick-off at 12:30 and what ended up being a bad result for Neil Warnock was a great one for our punter. That’s because Ireland striker Scott Hogan’s 26th-minute strike gave The Blues the victory and got our customers bet off to the perfect start.

Next on the agenda was the 3pm kick-offs and we’ll go to the Cardiff City Stadium first, where the home side hosted league leaders Norwich City. 10-man Cardiff were spirited, but early goals for The Canaries from Grant Hanley and Todd Cantwell helped Daniel Farke men to a 2-1 away success and three more points in their quest to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

It was soon three-from-three on the betslip as Vicarage Road was our next port of call where Watford took on Huddersfield. Thankfully, the promotion-chasing home outfit got the job done for our victor with a 2-0 win. The goals came in the second half from former Man United man Tom Cleverley and Joao Pedro.

A short hop across to the south-west followed and our punter needed a win at Ashton Gate for Bristol City, who were taking on Preston as both sides looked to further their Play-Off hopes. There was no need to worry as The Robins were in flying form and secured a 2-0 home triumph as Famara Diedhiou and Zak Vyner found the net.

Ewood Park came calling after that as our victor was in search of a draw between Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City. That’s exactly what transpired as the teams played out a 1-1 stalemate, but Stoke had to hang on at the end with 10-men after James Chester was shown red in the 79th minute.

Then we arrived at arguably the biggest call on our winner’s seven-fold as underdogs Luton Town were selected to topple third-placed Bournemouth away at the Vitality Stadium. Our victor must have been smiling when Jefferson Lerma was given his marching orders for the home outfit just 23 minutes into the first half, and the grin will have got much broader later when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall secured an unlikely victory for The Hatters in the 67th minute.

That just left the nerves jangling for the evening as our customer had to wait for the late (19:45) kick-off between Barnsley and Swansea to secure the money. But, any anxiety our victor must have had evaporated when goals from Ben Cabango and Jamal Lowe had The Swans 2-0 in front after only 55 minutes, and it was a lead they would never relinquish afterwards.

With that result the cash was claimed and £2,104 was winging its way to our plucky punter. Not bad for a £1 stake eh? That’s a Hall of Fame call in our book anyway!
