Football tips: Phil Thompson’s tasty 10/1 goalfest for Leeds v Leicester on Monday

Thommo is expecting the net to bulge a few times at Elland Road.

Correct Score: 2-2

Let’s start with Leicester, and fingers were pointed at Brendan Rodgers after back-to-back Premier League defeats to West Ham and Aston Villa, but look what they did to Arsenal last time out. The Foxes have also won all their away games in the league so far this season, that’s absolutely fantastic.

On the flip side, Leeds United have looked to entertain right from the opening kick-off against Liverpool. When you talk about topsy-turvy seasons, we might be having the biggest one. For example, Aston Villa beat Liverpool 7-2, then Leeds went to Aston Villa and battered them 3-0.

They’re not a bad watch this Leeds team, while Leicester can defend and counter-attack at will – just ask Manchester City about that. I can see goals in this game, but I just can’t split them. I’ve got this pencilled in for a nice goal-fest and a 2-2 draw.

Patrick Bamford to score anytime

Before the start of the season, people questioned Patrick Bamford’s ability to score goals in the Premier League. He has shut everyone up in that regard, and he netted a hat-trick at Villa Park last time out. Not many punters would have had that backed, I can assure you.

It a game like this, you would have to back Bamford to score at some stage.

If he’s not confident now, he never will be.

I reckon he’s got it in him to keep his goalscoring run going here.

Jamie Vardy to score anytime

Leicester are very reliant on Jamie Vardy to get their goals and he’s a nice bet to get one at Elland Road on Monday. Don’t be surprised if it’s from the penalty spot. Vardy gets more penalties than Man United – if that’s even possible.
