Football tips: Our tasty 12/1 acca for Tuesday’s Euro footy

We've found some La Liga action and Champions League qualifiers to get stuck into.

For Tuesday night’s European action we’re taking a look at two fixtures in Spain and two in the Champions League qualifiers where it is winner takes all with a place in the group stage of the competition up for grabs.

6pm: Real Sociedad vs Valencia – Both Teams to Score

Neither team has had the best of starts to their La Liga campaign. Sociedad are unbeaten over their three matches so far but have only won one of them, scoring four goals and conceding just one. Valencia have won one, drawn one and lost one, scoring six and conceding five.

Over the last five meetings between the sides there hasn’t exactly been fireworks. Only two have seen Over 2.5 goals occurring and only two had BTTS registering. Matches at the Reale Seguros Stadium have been a little better though, Sociedad have won three of the last five with Valencia winning two.

Over 2.5 goals landed in three, BTTS in just two. We’re going to go against historical trends here though, Valencia have been in decent goal scoring form and we expect them to get at least one. Sociedad averaged 1.74 goals per home league match last season and rarely go a home match without a goal so our tip is BTTS at quite generous odds.

8pm: Dynamo Kiev vs Gent: Both Teams to Score

It’s advantage Dynamo Kiev as they come into this match 2-1 on aggregate with two very valuable away goals to their name. Gent are going to have to pull something special out of the bag here, and they aren’t exactly known for their fierce away record. They’ve only won one of their last five on their travels while Kiev have won four and drawn one of their five most recent home matches.

Kiev don’t have the best Clean Sheets record at home and Gent rarely go an away match without at least one goal to their name. The onus will be on Gent here to attack and they should get one here while Kiev have only not scored in two of their last 15 at home in all competitions. We’re going with BTTS again here.

8pm: Ferencvaros vs Molde – Ferencvaros to Win

Last week’s first leg saw a surprise 3-3 result when Molde had been favourites to win at home. With three away goals to their name Ferencvaros are firmly in the driving seat here although at the time of writing the market hasn’t yet backed them into an odds-on price.

Molde rested a couple of their usual starting XI at the weekend because of this match and will be desperate to get a good result. Ferencvaros have already beaten Dinamo Zagreb, Djurgarden and Celtic in the Champions League over this campaign and have lost just one home match over their last 15 in all competitions. The Hungarians have nothing to fear here and especially with those three away goals all they have to do is not lose. That’s easier said than done of course, but having beaten Zagreb and Celtic, as mentioned already, they have the momentum going into this so we’re backing them to do the business one more time to see them qualify for the Champions League proper.

8.30pm: Getafe vs Betis – Under 2.5 Goals

Getafe have only played two matches so far this season, winning one and drawing one, scoring one and conceding none. Betis are currently top of La Liga with two wins and one loss over their three matches, scoring five and conceding three.

The last five meetings between the pair at Coliseum Alfonso Perez haven’t been anything of note it must be said, four saw Under 2.5 goals coming in and only one saw BTTS landing. There’s very little to suggest this will be one for the ages as well so we’re backing the Unders trend to continue here.
