17:30 Galatasaray v Fenerbahce: Draw

Galatasaray have gotten their league campaign off to the best of starts with two wins from two.

Meanwhile, their great rivals Fenerbahce have won one and drawn one of their two Super Lig matches.

Five out of six recent meetings between the pair have ended all square, looking just at matches played at Galatasaray’s home ground three of the last five have ended as a draw.

With records like that it’s unlikely we’ll see a winner here again.

17:30 Cadiz v Sevilla: Sevilla to win

Sevilla can hold their heads high after a very spirited defeat to Bayern Munich in the Super Cup midweek. This will be their first match of the La Liga campaign, while for Cadiz this will be their third match having won one and lost one so far.

Sevilla are favourites here and have beaten Cadiz in their four previous meetings there, although those matches date back to 2006.

This will be a stern test for the recently-promoted side and they didn’t exactly set the world alight in La Liga 2 last season, scoring just 50 goals over 42 matches. They are also coming up against one of the best defences in La Liga.

We’re going with the away side here, they’ve not lost on the road in any of their seven most recent away league matches and Cadiz just don’t have the firepower.

19:45 Roma v Juventus: Over 2.5 goals

Juventus look like decent odds here to get the three points here. Let’s examine why.

It could have something to do with having a new, inexperienced manager, or them letting go of Gonzalo Higuain, not signing Luiz Suarez and Paulo Dybala being a doubt for the match. Or it could be their less-than-perfect track record away to Roma, where they’ve won just one of their five most recent league visits.

Three of those five recent matches saw Over 2.5 goals occurring, while Both Teams To Score also landed in three.

Roma, surprisingly lost their opening match away to Verona and will be looking to get their season back on track here. Alvaro Morato could make his second debut for Juventus from the bench, while new signing Dejan Kulusevski should keep his place alongside Ronaldo after impressing in his debut.

With Roma wanting to get their season going and Juventus’ starting XI almost bursting with firepower, we’re backing goals here.

20:00 Reims v PSG: Mbappe to Score Anytime

Reims are still yet to win a single match of their league campaign. PSG haven’t exactly gotten off to the best start either, winning two and losing two of their matches so far.

PSG’s defence has buckled down since those losses keeping a couple of clean sheets, but Reims have a decent record of goals at home so we can’t back the champions to win to nil.

Kylian Mbappe is getting our nod here, he opened his scoring account last weekend in his first match back since injury against Nice and had another disallowed. He has also scored against Reims in the past too.

Antoine Griezmann Barcelona celebrates

20:00 Barcelona v Villarreal: Barcelona to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Barcelona are finally getting their season underway this weekend and the headlines will, for a day or two at least, be actually about what happens on the field rather than off of it.

Ronald Koeman has allowed Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic to leave and he’s going to put his trust in some of the younger players in Barca’s squad, along with Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

Villarreal are a decent side, but they don’t have a snowball’s chance here. They’ve lost all of their last 10 visits to the Nou Camp, seven of those saw Both Teams To Score landing though and nine saw Over 2.5 goals with Barca winning. We’re backing that trend to continue at some decent odds.
