I watched Villa against Burton during the week and they were fine, getting a couple of goals late on to win the game.
Ollie Watkins, their new star striker signed form Brentford, he scored a goal with a typical poacher’s finish inside the six-yard box, but I’m not convinced he’s going to get as many goals as people might think.
He’s a poacher and he replies on the service from the midfielders to pick him out in the right places. Villa obviously have Jack Grealish who is one of the top players for chance creation but outside of him, add in the fact that Villa are likely to be on the back foot for most games, I’m not sure Watkins is going to get the service that he needs.
They’ve also brought in Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal and he’s a good signing who’s been very unfortunate not to be Arsenal’s No.1 goalkeeper, I think. He provides a calming presence at the back.
Sheffield United were very poor last week against Wolves. They found themselves in a poor position being 2-0 down after five or six minutes.
They didn’t create much which is a worry for them and I think they should be looking to bring in a top striker. If they dont they could struggle this season.
I don’t think this game will be a classic, I think it will be close. The Drawis the biggest price of the three outcomes and I’m happy to go with that here.
I won’t go with No Goalscorer in this one, I think I’d be looking at Jack Grealish. He’s signed a new five-year deal during the week and is playing with supreme confidence.
He played really well against Burton in the EFL Cup and scored a lovely goal with a volley from a corner.
His confidence is up and is going to be fully focused on Villa now there’s no more transfer speculation surrounding him and Jack Grealish to Score First could be a good bet here.
