Jason’s Saturday Premier League treble
15:00 Crystal Palace v Southampton: Southampton Win (NAP)
My NAP of the weekend is Southampton to Win against Crystal Palace. I’m very down on Crystal Palace who have a lot of injuries this weekend.
Patrick van Aanholt, James Tomkins, Mamadou Sakho. They’re missing a lot of their back four. Southampton won here in January 2-0 in a pack Selhurst Park, there’s going to be no fans here and they’re a big factor why Crystal Palace tend to do well at home.
Southampton at odds against this weekend, they’re nailed-on to put in this treble.
17:30 Liverpool v Leeds: Liverpool to Win
The next one is a short one but we’re trying to get a treble here! It’s Liverpool to win at home against Leeds.
Leeds’ game against Arsenal in the FA Cup is probably the best gauge that we have as to how they’ll do against good Premier League opposition.
They played really well first half but Arsenal made some changes at half time and ended the better team and with the win.
It’s a different story going to The Emirates and playing Arsenal in the early days of Mikel Arteta’s reign to what it is going to away to the Premier League champions in your first game of the season.
20:00 West Ham v Newcastle: Newcastle to Win
The last selection, which is really going to juice-up the price, is Newcastle to Win away at West Ham. I’m really down on West Ham this season. There’s real concerns around the club. Their transfer business this summer hasn’t been good.
Michael Antonio scored enough goals to get them out of trouble last season but his injury record isn’t good and they can’t rely on him to do it for a whole season.
Newcastle were very solid post lockdown, they mixed the formation up and it really worked for them. So, I’d rather be on Newcastle in this treble at the bigger price and to get a decent price on this treble.
