Over 54 home league matches Celtic have beaten Hamilton on 47 occasions, three have ended as draws, the away side have beaten them four times, the last time was in 2014. Prior to that, the last time they won at Celtic Park was back in 1938. Hardly surprising then to see Celtic’s odds to win at their current price with a record like that.

The Away side have only scored in two out of their last five recent visits to Celtic Park, over their 10 most previous they’ve scored in only four matches. Last season Celtic averaged just 0.47 goals conceded at home in the league and BTTS: No occurred in 60% of their home league matches. We expect that to continue here.

Last season Celtic scored two goals or more in 10 of their 15 home league matches. Translated into odds that’s close to 1/2 so what’s on offer here is very good value indeed. With this being the first match of the season too you’d expect things might just get off to a slow start and over their five preseason matches they only scored first half goals in two of their five matches.
