Football tips: Our 20/1 accumulator for Wednesday’s Serie A action

The Premier League season is over, but there's still plenty of Serie A action.

On Wednesday we’ve got eight matches on the cards for what will be the penultimate round of Serie A matches for the season. Juventus have already claimed their 36th league title but there’s still plenty to play for regarding European places and the final relegation place. Let’s have a look for some value in four matches we want to concentrate on.

18:30 – Sampdoria vs AC Milan: Milan to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Sampdoria weren’t nearly as bad as the 0-2 loss scoreline suggests from their last match away to Juventus. They’ve been pretty decent of late, winning three and losing two of their last five. Over their 11 matches since the campaign restarted they’ve won five and lost six. They’ve scored at least one in nine of those 11 matches, Over 2.5 goals landing in nine as well.

Milan are the form side of the league, winning seven of their 10 matches, drawing the other three.

They’ve really pulled it out of the bag here in their attempt for European football next season but they’re not over the line yet and should Napoli beat Inter the previous night they’ll also have to win here.

Over previous seasons at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris these haven’t been great matches, none of the last five have seen Overs or BTTS landing. However, the trend has to end sometime and with both teams in good goalscoring form both should score here. Milan’s form too should see them put Sampdoria to the sword so we’re backing them to win and Over 2.5 goals.

18:30 – Udinese vs Lecce: Both Teams to Score

Udinese come into this match having won two, drawn one and lost two of their five most recent matches. Lecce need the win here if they’ve any hopes of remaining in the Serie A next season but they’ve lost three of their last five, winning one and drawing one. They’re pretty awful on the road, winning just four away league matches this season, drawing three and losing 11.

Udinese have won six, drawn six and lost six…the superstitious among Udinese fans won’t like to see those figures. Udinese’s scoring record at 0.94 goals per game at home is muck, but since the restart they’ve scored in nine from 11 matches, Lecce have scored in eight from 10. Lecce need to go for it here and Udinese’s recent scoring record should see BTTS landing.

20:45 – Cagliari vs Juventus: Cristiano Ronaldo to Score 2 or more

Cagliari have zip to play for here but with a few sore heads among the Juventus ranks they’ll still be eager to be the first team to beat the new champions. Saying that Cagliari have played Juventus 14 times at home since the turn of the century, they’ve won once. Juve have won 11 and there have been three draws.

Bit of an outside bet from us here. Cristian Ronaldo is currently second on 31 goals behind Ciro Immobile of Lazio on 34 goals on the goalscorers table. The Portuguese legend has three from three against Udinese and you just know he’s going to be going all out here to try and land that title too. We know he’s good enough for one, we’re taking a punt here on him getting two at least.

20:45 – Torino vs Roma: BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals

Torino are safe after another lacklustre season, business as usual says you, but the majority of attention will be on Roma here. The odds on a Roma win have fallen quite a bit since opening and with them just a win away from securing European football next season we can see why the market is getting behind the away win here.

They don’t have a great record at Torino though, winning two, losing one and drawing two of their five most recent visits there. However, they are in great form though.

After a wobble that saw them lose three-in-a-row Roma have now gone six matches without defeat, winning five and drawing one, scoring an impressive 17 goals over those six matches, conceding six.

European football tips summary

Sampdoria vs A.C Milan – Milan to win & over 2.5 goals

Udinese vs Leece – Both teams to score

Cagliari vs Juventus – Cristiano Ronaldo to score 2 or more goals

Torino vs Roma – Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals

That good form should continue here but Torino rarely draw a blank in front of goal so we’re backing BTTS & Over 2.5 goals here.
