Football Tips: Bournemouth tipped to blunt City in this tempting treble for Wednesday’s EPL action

The end of the season always throws up some interesting results...

18:00 Burnley v Wolves: Wolves to win

With three rounds of fixtures remaining, Wolves are running out of time in search for that Top 4 finish. With all three of Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester dropping points last time out, Wolves are still mathematically in with a chance of getting that Champions League spot.

After a dominant display against Everton, winning 3-0, I don’t see Wolves letting up here against a Burnley side who are safe from relegation so really aren’t playing for anything other than pride. I find it hard to get away from backing Wolves to win here, and with it just being a shade odds on, it looks like massive value.

18:00 Man City v Bournemouth: Bournemouth Double Chance

This fixture is a really interesting one for a number of reasons. Manchester City are sure to be thinking about the FA Cup this weekend and with nothing to play for here, I’m sure they’ll be putting out their second-string team.

The interesting part here is that Man City’s second team are probably capable of beating any other Premier League team on their day. Their squad depth is second to none and there’s no doubt the starting 11 here will be pushing to get that permanent start for City with the Champions League’s resumption around the corner.

With this being said, I’m still struggling to rule out a result for Bournemouth here. After picking up 4 of a possible 6 points against Leicester and Tottenham, they’re coming in here with a lot of momentum.

Currently sitting in the relegation zone, they’ll be highly motivated knowing that a single point could be huge come next weekend. I feel out of both teams, Bournemouth are surely going to be the ones more up for this clash.

I’ll be taking a chance here and going with Bournemouth Double Chance with the hope that defence is their priority and they’ll be doing everything to keep Man City out.

18:00 Newcastle v Tottenham: Over 2.5 Goals

With Newcastle safe from relegation and Tottenham too far behind for a Top 4 finish, neither team has too much on the line here and I can see this match going one of two ways.

It’s either going to be a 0-0 bore draw with neither team looking to push for a winning goal or both teams will go out with the mindset that they’ve got nothing to lose and let off the shackles. I’m really hoping it’s the latter here and I’m going to go with Over 2.5 Goals in this one.

Since the return, only one of Newcastle’s six EPL matches has finished under 2.5, and with Tottenham being the strongest team they’ve played out of these six, bar Man City, I’ll find it hard to see them holding off Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son. However, I also see them getting a goal or two themselves.

With it being the same odds for either side of the 2.5 Goal line, I find it very hard here to see why you wouldn’t go for the Overs.

These three selections in a treble will give you odds of over 17/1 with Paddy Power.
