Football tips: Our 9/1 tasty treble for Wednesday’s 6pm kick-offs

It's a Paddy Power News three-in-one special! Here's our top treble for Wednesday's early kick-offs.

It’s another midweek full of action, and this Wednesday we turn our focus to the Premier League looking to find a treble across the three 6pm games of Man City v Newcastle, Sheff Utd v Wolves, West Ham v Burnley.

Don’t Miss:

Man City v Newcastle

BT Sport 1

Man City are coming into this one off the back of a defeat against a pretty poor Southampton side where they created a lot of chances during the game but just couldn’t get the ball into the back of the net.

I’m not going to read too much into that result as we just have to look back at how they thrashed Liverpool 4-0 three days before. City also faced Newcastle in the cup just over a week ago and were extremely dominant.

(-2)

It was a while since a team parked the bus in such an extreme way and City really could of beaten Newcastle by any scoreline they wanted that night.

Newcastle are missing Sean Longstaff and Isaac Hayden for this fixture and could be without Allan Saint-Maximin too. I really can’t see anything other than a big City win here and feel they will bounce straight back from their poor result against the saints

Bet 1 – Man City -2 goals

Sheff Utd v Wolves

Sky Sports Main Event

A game that is extremely important for both sides in the race for European football, the Blades have turned their poor start around with a very good 3-1 win against Tottenham and a draw away to Burnley.

Wolves, on the other hand, came back from the break very strongly with 3 wins in a row but struggled against an Arsenal side known for their bleak away form in their most recent game at Molineux.

I can see this being cagey and neither team can afford to lose.

It will most likely be 0-0 draw or a 1-0 win for either team so with that being said I will be going for Under 1.5 goals.

Bet 2 – Under 1.5 goals

West Ham v Burnley

Last but not least we arrive at this hugely important game for West Ham.

David Moyes’ side had a really difficult return on paper, after a rough start with 2-0 defeats to Tottenham and Wolves, they have turned it around with a win against Chelsea and away draw at Newcastle, scoring 5 goals in those two games.

Burnley have had a slightly easier restart except for the hammering they had against Man City. Other than that blip at the Etihad, they’ve had a fairly solid return of 2 wins and a draw which they will be happy with.

Looking at the stats, Over 2.5 goals is standing out too me here, especially with West Ham finally finding the net regularly of late. Over 2.5 goals has won in 62% of West Ham’s home games and 56% of Burnley’s away games so I think this is a great bet.

Bet 3 – Over 2.5 goals

Tipping summary:

Man City v Newcastle: Man City -2 goals

Sheffield United v Wolves: Under 1.5 goals

West Ham v Burnley: Over 2.5 goals

  • The treble can be backed at 9/1
