Football Tips: Our 3 best bets for Leicester vs Brighton on Tuesday

The footy keeps on coming as Brighton travel to Leicester for today's early kickoff at 18.00.

While Leicester are pushing to secure a top 3 finish, their opponents today (18.00) Brighton are fighting to stay out of the dreaded Bottom 3. Looking at the Premier League table, you’d feel this would be a straightforward one – but with the times we’re in, nothing is straightforward.

Leicester are coming in off the back of a 1-1 draw with Watford, in which they never really threatened the Hornets’ goal for 89 minutes and didn’t seem to have that regular spark we have grown to love from them. Brighton will definitely be confident after completing a comeback against Arsenal to win 2-1 with a 95th minute winner at the weekend.

We all know this part of the run-in is about momentum for those teams fighting relegation, so with Brighton getting that win, you’d be mad to rule them out of producing something similar here.

In terms of bets, both teams have their star strikers fit and ready to go so hopefully we get to see some action from Jamie Vardy and Neal Maupay. Both players are born finishers and will want to cause a threat from the off.

We’ve got plenty of Power Prices for this one, but the one that stands out for me would be Jamie Vardy and Neal Maupay to have 2 or more shots on target each. With both players being lone strikers, shots won’t go begging for them so this looks an attractive price at 15/2.

With it being a home game for Leicester, there’s the chance that this will end up being 90 minutes of the Foxes attacking and Brighton just parking up and making sure not to throw away a much-needed point. Saying that, I’m sure we’ll see Brighton’s captain Lewis Dunk in the thick of the action throughout so my next bet would be for Dunk to be booked. He’s not afraid to pick up a card, having already clocked up 9 yellows in this season’s EPL so 15/8 looks like a good interest punt on him.

After stating the fact that this could turn into a possession match for Leicester, I do feel Brighton are very sharp when it comes to defending and Leicester will struggle to break them down. My last bet would be for the shorty lovers is Half Time Result being a Draw.

I always feel this is a value bet as teams are usually slow starting off after being out of action for the last 3 months. With the water break coming in around the 20th minute, this kills any sort of momentum gained so the first half of plenty of these EPL matches have been a bore draw going in at half time and I feel this may follow suit.

Tips for Leicester v Brighton

Jamie Vardy and Neal Maupay to have 2 or more shots on target each
Lewis Dunk to be booked
Half Time Result being a Draw
