It’s Monday Night Football and we’re hoping for plenty of goals – and I think we have a great chance of getting them in this game. If you look at FC Koln in their last two home fixtures, against Dusseldorf and Mainz, both games ended 2-2. Leipzig’s last midweek clash finished with the same scoreline following the visit of Hertha Berlin and a 5-0 thumping of Mainz at the weekend got them back to winning ways as the goals continue to fly in.
Taking into account at the matches they’ve played over the season, about 28 games each, they are averaging around three-and-a-half goals per game and the last time the teams met saw a 4-1 win to Leipzig earlier in the season. So, I’m really, really hoping we see plenty of goals – and I think we will.
If I was to tip someone up, I’d be going with a Leipzig win. I think there is a bit of value in the price with FC Koln playing without home support and the fact that they are missing their mascot ‘the goat’ (Hennes, not Messi!). So, I definitely would have a look at Leipzig and over 2.5 goals in the game.
In terms of the First/Anytime Goalscorer market, I would never put anyone off backing Timo Werner. Maybe have look at him in the anytime markets, maybe throw him into your same game multi bet.
I’m expecting plenty of goals in this one so, for example, you could back Werner anytime with over 2.5 goals in the match and a 3-1 win to Leipzig in the correct score market. But, like I said, we should be seeing plenty of goals in this game, and it should be a good one to watch on a Monday night.
