Liverpool v Atletico Madrid: Liverpool to Win & BTTS – 11/4

The first leg in Madrid was the beginning of Liverpool’s mini-slump.
That was a game on paper that Liverpool should have eased to victory in. Atletico have been nowhere near the heights they have reached in recent seasons and didn’t look capable of beating the defending European champions.
Liverpool probably did the worst thing they could do, however, and conceded inside the first five minutes to a Diego Simeone side. The Reds have been very poor ever since.
They were incredibly lucky to beat West Ham and only did so thanks to three goalkeeping errors. They were ripped apart by Watford and Chelsea and, most recently, they were unconvincing against a Bournemouth side they regularly hammer.
Under the lights in a big European night at Anfield, you would expect Liverpool to step it up a notch but they are in a very precarious position. If they concede, they could be in big trouble. Atletico Madrid will try to suffocate the life out of them and it’s difficult to see Liverpool scoring three times.
On recent form, they will concede. Liverpool have conceded eight in their last four games and their defence has resembled Arsenal’s in recent weeks rather than that of a runaway league champion.
It could be a long night for Liverpool fans, although they should win on the night regardless.

PSG v Borussia Dortmund: Dortmund +1 @ Evens

We’re at that time of year when PSG perform their annual PSG meltdown.
The Parisians have exited the Champions League at this stage in each of their last three seasons, setting two records in the process by becoming the first team ever to blow a four-goal lead and then becoming the first team ever to go out after winning the away leg by two goals.
This time, they don’t even take an advantage into the second leg.
Dortmund have been excellent in recent weeks, winning five games on the spin in all competitions, including their home win over the French champions.
The Germans have been a joy to watch this season and their upturn in form has been part of a broader revival of German football.
All three German teams are well placed to qualify for the last eight of the competition and Dortmund can become the first team to do so against a PSG side that has won two home knockout Champions League games since 2015.
That poor record may continue on Wednesday night.
