Premier League tips: Our traders’ 4 fancies for Crystal Palace v Brighton

It’s a derby don’t you know.

The last MNF before the crazy Christmas period brings us the mid-table clash of Crystal Palace v Brighton.

At first glance, you’d think there’s not much entertainment to follow this but with both teams showing some good recent form, I reckon we’ll be in for an entertaining match from the get-go.

Crystal Palace are currently sitting at a respectable 10th – with a win in this boosting them to a possible eighth with other results going their way, while Brighton sit three points off their opponents down at 13th.

Although we are only coming up to halfway through this season, this as a huge match in terms of relegation safety for both teams. Crystal Palace are only seven points clear of 18th place Southampton, while Brighton are a worrying four points off the drop zone.

You’d think looking at this match with the circumstances involved, you might be getting a cagey affair ahead. But if you look at the last 4 appearances between these teams, they all boast the same traits that point to Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score (7/5).

With that being said, I can see this match following these same traits and I’d be expecting goals.

Crystal Palace are currently unbeaten in their last three (W2, D1) while Brighton are going into this contest following an away win against Arsenal and a draw against Wolves, so both teams are entering this with loads of confidence and both feel like they could come away with the three points.

With all this being said, I’d be very keen on Both Teams to Score at 20/23.

With goals expected, Neal Maupay looks like a good bet for First Goalscorer at 5/1.

He’s been leading the line for Brighton this year on the goal front with six goals, with two of them coming in each the last two matches.

For some value with the anytime goalscorers, I’d be keen on Luka Milivojevic (3/1), with him scoring in the last two meetings between these sides.

Another bet I really fancy would be Glenn Murray anytime. My only worry here is he isn’t guaranteed game time this season with Maupay being so dominant for the Seagulls. But, I’ll be keeping a very close eye in-play waiting for his appearance as he’s scored in the last four meetings between these sides so he’s bound to get in on some action.

Currently at 23/10, I see this drifting out to a tasty price by the time he gets the call.

This derby has been a feisty affair in the past, and with valuable points on the line, I can’t see why this will be any different.

The last two meetings have seen six cards in each, with the previous meeting not coming up too far behind with five cards.

Taking these stats into account, I see great value with our #WhatOddsPaddy selection of Each Team to have 1+ Cards in each half at 4/1.

Traders tips summary:
