2 Up You Win: Tuesday’s two-goal reversals thwacked us for £305,000!

Claudio stung us for a shekel or two with Fulham's fightback against Brighton - and then there was Burnley's bottle melting at Old Trafford...

Nice one Claudio!

Not content with winning the league at 5,000/1, the former Leicester gaffer’s proving a pal for punters again at Fulham – at least if they make a habit of fighting back from two goals down.

On Tuesday night, Ranieri’s relegation-threatened side looked set to slide further into the mire having slipped two behind to Brighton quicker than you can say “Glenn Murray for England!”

His two goals inside seventeen minutes meant your always on-the-ball pal Paddy Power paid out on the Seagulls to win long before the Craven Cottage crowd could turn their minds to the duck liver pate and quinoa crackers at half-time.

But mamma mia! Did the Tinkerman have a trick up his sleeve or what?!

After what must have been the mother of all dilly-dong team talks, the home side roared back into life in the second half, slamming home four unanswered goals to take Chris Hughton’s side back down to earth and boost their own survival hopes.

Oh, and it also meant we’d to pay out on Fulham to win too, stumping up over £170,000 in total on the match result.

The fun didn’t stop there for our shrewd customers though, because just as things were turning on the banks of the Thames, up north at Old Trafford Burnley were blitzing Man United thanks to goals from Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood.

Their second came in the 81st minute and looked to have sealed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first loss as United boss, and we paid out on the upset.

But the Norwegian’s channelling of Sir Alex continued – are we sure it’s not just Fergie in a mask? – as the previously lacklustre selection of United stars found their fighting spirit and lashed the Clarets goal deep into Fergie time, getting their rewards with a Pogba penalty and Lindelof’s late leveller.

Draw backers were paid out on full-time, resulting in a total pay-out of £135,000 on the game.

That’s a colossal £305k dropped on those two games alone. Woof.

We’re not so sure we like these midweek Prem games.
