If you didn’t manage to catch AC Milan’s clash with Juventus last night, you missed one hell of a meltdown from the home side’s star striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The drama started early at the San Siro as Alex Sandro’s delicious pinpoint cross landed right on the noggin of Mario Mandzukic and the big Croatian made no mistake from close range to give Juve the lead after eight minutes.

Then came Higuain’s big chance to make his mark against his former club as Milan were awarded a penalty a few minutes before the break. However, former Arsenal stopper Wojciech Szczesny was up to the task and looked to have acted on advice from Cristiano Ronaldo as he tipped Higuain’s penalty onto the post.

The Argentine striker’s temper wouldn’t have been helped when he watched his former Real Madrid teammate Ronaldo effectively end the contest in the 81st minute as he pounced on a loose ball in the box to lash home a second goal on the night for The Old Lady.

Two minutes later it all came to a boil for Higuain as he received his first yellow card for a foul on Juve centre back Medhi Benatia. The caution sent the Milan man into a rage and the referee immediately pulled out a second yellow card, rightly sending off Higuain for his petulance.
It didn’t stop there though, as Higuain made his best efforts to get at the referee and he even shoved Ronaldo out of the way to try to get there. Eventually, his teammates managed to get him out the field, but it was definitely one to forget for the frontman.
Thankfully, we can see all the action thanks to Eleven Sports on Twitter and you can watch Higuain’s red card for yourself below:
