We’ve already celebrated Dries Mertens wellying a wonder goal past a helpless keeper today, but sometimes you just get blessed with more ridiculous goals than you know what to do with.
France’s World Cup hero Antoine Griezmann has really spoiled us with a free-kick hit of such casual quality he almost seems to take it for granted that it’s gone in.
He probably does this in training ten times a day…

You have to feel for the goalkeeper there, he’s just rooted to the spot.
Unfortunately for Atletico, it wasn’t enough to secure all three-points as the game finished 1-1.
Maybe a goal like that should count double?
With a player of Griezmann’s quality in their side, that’d turn plenty of draws into wins. The dimuntive Basque’s been so good he’s currently 5/1 second favourite for the Ballon d’Or thanks to his super striking and tricky build-up play.
In fact you could say his play is – wait for it – head-and-shoulders above the rest.
