
As much as anyone else, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen was responsible for Barca’s victory over Sevilla last night.
Sure, Leo Messi ran riot early on, setting up Coutinho for a goal and scoring one of his own before going off with a worrying injury. But the Argentine’s magic would have all been for nothing had the Blaugrana’s exceptional German keeper not pulled off a pair of stunning double-saves.
So impressive was Ter Stegen’s performance overall that the Nou Camp crowd began chanting his name, a rare honour for a goalkeeper in the Catalan capital.

But it didn’t end there.
Twenty-five minutes later, Ter Stegen was called into action once again, with Sevilla beginning to really threaten to get a result. It just wasn’t meant to be for the Andalucians, however:
