Frank Lampard is obviously doing something right at Derby County.
At the time of writing, his team sit fifth in the Championship, and recently eliminated Jose Mourinho’s Man United from the Carabao Cup in spectacular fashion.
Most notably, perhaps, has been the excellent quality of football on display at Pride Park, a trend that continued when Sheffield United rocked up for a league fixture yesterday. Still, despite Derby’s form, the second-placed Blades can’t have been expecting to go behind after just 18 seconds.
But that’s exactly what happened, with Lampard’s boys put together a sweeping eight-pass move that took them from back to front, before midfielder Craig Bryson capped things off with a tidy finish.
