Ever catch a volley absolutely ding dong perfect? Well, you still probably haven’t caught it as sweet as Billie Simpson caught this one in Cliftonville ladies’ 2-2 draw with Sion Swifts in the Northern Ireland Women’s Premiership. Not only was it a worldy of a volley but it was direct from a goal kick and inside her own half – it doesn’t get better, does it?

Now, for all you cynical minds out there who think she didn’t mean it, well we’ve done some digging and apparently Simpson was the one who taught Peter Kay how to volley a ball in the John Smith ads. And, we’ve seen her do it in training several times. So there!
At the moment it’s goal of the season. Adlene Guedioura’s 60 yard effort for Nottingham Forest probably would’ve pipped it but his didn’t go in. Sorry Adlene.
