We’ve slashed the odds on Chris Smalling joining Wolves from Manchester United from 33/1 to 1/2.
That’s after a series of bets throughout the last couple of days on the move, which would be the latest in a string of high-profile signings for the Molineux club.
Smalling, who incurred the wrath of Jose Mourinho last season for not playing on through injury, could be making way for one of the club’s top transfer targets.

They are odds-on to sign Toby Alderweireld (4/9) from Tottenham and the favourites to land Harry Maguire (5/4) from Leicester, both of whom play in Smalling’s position.
Wolves, meanwhile, are now Evens to finish in the top ten this season – after winning promotion as Champions last term.
Asked about a possible move spokesman Paddy Power said: “Chris Smalling has fallen out of Jose Mourinho’s first team plans. Or, as Louis Van Gaal would put it, Mike dropped.
“Wolves are making waves this summer in the transfer market, and look a great bet for a top half finish already.”
