Watch: Conor Hourihane seals Second City Derby win for Villa with stunning volley

The Irishman's strike helped Villa climb up to second in the Championship....

Aston Villa moved to second in the Championship after an impressive 2-0 win in the Second City Derby today. The Blues were unlucky not to go ahead early on after John Terry tripped himself up on dark matter, letting in Jacques Maghoma who could only hit the post.

But the deadlock was broken when future Ballon D’or winner, Jack Grealish, slipped a pass to Albert Adomah who rifled a shot into the bottom corner from 18 yards out. Villa fans duly went wild and it was only to get better for them.

With nine minutes to go, Irish midfielder Conor Hourihane latched onto a poor Harlee Dean headed clearance and sent a dipping 20 yard volley over David Stockdale into the top corner.

Check it out for yourself. What a hit. Now just do it for Ireland Conor, alright?

And it made Paul happy so that makes us happy. F*ckin love you Paul.
