Gary Neville favourite to manage Becks’ Miami MLS team

Will the popular pundit be swapping Manchester for Miami?

David Beckham has finally launched his Miami-based football club – with former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville favourite to be appointed its manager.

Paddy Power have priced the Sky Sports pundit at 11/2 favourite to be installed as the newest MLS outfit’s boss.

And, if his best man Neville isn’t hired, Becks could still turn to a familiar face – with odds available on Ryan Giggs (25/1), Paul Scholes (33/1), or Golden Balls himself (also 33/1) taking charge.

Meanwhile, the chances of the new club winning the MLS title in their first season are 10/1, or 2/1 to deliver it in their first three seasons. But the odds of on the team feeling the Miami Heat and finishing last are 20/1.

Becks is 16/1 to bring ‘squeaky butt time’ into the American vernacular and call on Sir Alex Ferguson’s management experience by offering Fergie a stint in the Sunshine State.

When it comes to fashion, Beckham knows people in high places and the chances of his wife Victoria Beckham spicing up the team’s kits by designing them are 25/1.

Asked about Beckham’s possible plans spokesman Paddy Power said: “With his MLS team in Miami ready to be announced, Becks is finally ready to show his Golden Balls to America. Whether any of his Class of ’92 buddies choose to cross the pond and get involved remains to be seen.

“As for the team name? We’re really hoping for Miami Spice.”
