Watch: Cue an approach from Pep! Keeper scores outrageous goal from his own half

Stick that in your pipe Ederson......

CD Lugo goalkeeper, Juan Carlos, marked his 30th birthday is some serious style last night after he scored an outrageous strike from well inside his own half,  helping his team to a 3-1 win over Sporting Gijon.

The Spanish shot stopper came out to play sweeper after a clearance by Gijon from a corner, before swiftly waving to his family in the crowd and pinging a shot (give him the benefit lads!) 60 yards over the head of his opposing number and into the net. What a strike in fairness.

We’re told Lorius Karius and Simon Mignolet watched the clip in awe this morning in Melwood’s canteen, befuddled by how he even kept it in play, while Pep is reportedly on the phone to his Lugo connections trying to get him to City during the window.

You’ve got to also give it to the Lugo supporter in the blue at 53 seconds. Nice moves pal.
