
After overcoming an extremely dodgy period earlier in the season – which saw them lose eight times in 10 games – Leeds United are firmly back the Championship Play-Off picture after three wins on the spin.
The Whites return to form sees them sitting fifth in the table heading into Christmas and they got there thanks to a tense 1-0 victory over Hull at Elland Road yesterday.
It wasn’t easy though as the visitors dominated in terms of possession and chances, but the contest was settled by a moment of pure class from Leeds’ attacking midfielder Pablo Hernandez.
The tricky Spaniard has been mostly used in a left wing role by Thomas Christiansen this season, but made the most of a rare start at no.10 yesterday to seal three points for Leeds.
Hernandez sized on a poor clearance from Hull’s Allan McGregor and instead of slipping it past the keeper, he decided to unleash a saucy chip that must be seen to be believed. Thanks to Channel 5 Sport you can check it out for yourself below:
