Seven Paddy Power customers have got one of the best Christmas presents ever tonight from Jamie Vardy of all people.
Having correctly selected five of the six first goalscorers required to win our £500,000 Hotshot Jackpot, our super seven needed the England frontman to strike first in tonight’s late kick-off as Leicester City hosted Manchester United – and good jolly, he didn’t let them down.
They were among 40 Hotshot Jackpot players waiting on one of eight different players from either side to score first in the game, but it was Vardy who did the business latching onto a pass from Riyad Mahrez to slot past David De Gea just before the half hour mark.
That outstanding opener must have sent our seven winners – who are all based in the UK – wild as it means they will all get a whopping £71,428 each.

To win the loot our winners correctly called six first goalscorers in this round of Premier League fixtures in our free to enter Hotshot Jackpot game. They were as follows: Charlie Austin, Luka Milivojevic, Marko Arnautovic, Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and of course, Jamie Vardy.
