Pile into Paddy’s Hotshot Jackpot picks for your chance at €500,000

What would be better than a sweet half a million with Christmas just around the corner…

I’m feeling more generous than old St Nick himself this weekend and all I want for Christmas is for someone to win my £500,000 Hotshot Jackpot.

A massive midweek of Premier League action failed to find a winner, so there’s still a cool half a million pounds waiting on top of our tree waiting for someone to claim it.

How do I win it you ask? Well, it’s easy! Just jump over to our Hotshot Jackpot site, select six first goal scorers for this weekend’s games and if they all hit openers, then you’ve got the jackpot!

What’s that? You don’t know who to pick? Okay, I’ll give you my picks for the weekend, but if you win we’ve got to split it!

Arsenal v Newcastle – Alexis Sanchez

You might be surprised to learn that the talented Chilean has only four Premier League goals to his name this season, if only there was a reason for him to suddenly find form…

Isn’t the January transfer window just around the corner? I might be a cynic, but I won’t be one bit surprised to see him net the opener on Saturday and then my suspicions will have been confirmed.

Chelsea v Southampton – Eden Hazard

What’s that I hear? Real Madrid are sniffing around Chelsea’s talismanic Belgian superstar. You know what that means?

Expect the Christmas nets to be bulging with Eden Hazard goals as in tries to engineer a move to warmer climates to ensure it’s the last festive period he has to play over. Southampton beware this weekend!

Man City v Tottenham – David Silva

Isn’t the shiny-headed Spainard in wonderful form? David Silva has already hit more goals in the league this season than all of 2016/17 and looks better than ever on this pitch since he chopped his locks.

Silva has hit two first goals for Pep Guardiola’s inside three days and don’t rule out him making it three in less than a week on Saturday evening against Spurs.

West Brom v Man Utd – Romelu Lukaku

Yes, I know Romelu Lukaku was a bit sulky after scoring against Bournemouth and newsflash Man United fans, he probably won’t celebrate on Sunday either given that he scored 17 times for the Baggies on loan back in 2012/13.

However, the big man has already netted three openers this season and I’m backing him to firmly put his Man City horror show behind him by running riot in familiar surroundings.

Bournemouth v Liverpool – Philippe Coutinho

What, another man eyeing the exit door? You read that right and yes, I realise Bournemouth took four points off Liverpool last season when I made this pick.

Coutinho’s quickly become the set piece king of the Premier League though and I fancy him to nestle another one in the top corner this weekend.

Everton v Swansea – Wayne Rooney

Wazza is back and I couldn’t be happier! I always said Big Sam was a tactical genius and look at the form he’s got Rooney in.

Back at his old stomping ground of Everton, Rooney already has nine Premier League goals in the books this season. However, even more amazingly he already grabbed five first goals in the league this campaign and I reckon he’ll make it six of the best on Monday against the Swans.
