Tottenham v Stoke: Harry Kane

Spurs are clearly struggling at the moment, but I can’t help but feel like we’d all be fools to rule them out or doubt them this early on. Everyone knows what they are capable of, especially when Harry Kane is on top form, so I’m backing them to turn their fortunes around this weekend and he will net the first goal.

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth: Wilfried Zaha

This one’s a six-pointer! Working on the basis that Palace haven’t lost a game since they played Tottenham last month – and that was only 1-0 – then I’m going to go with them to just edge this one. I think Zaha is a really good player, so I’m going with him here.

Newcastle v Leicester: Dwight Gayle

Newcastle need to get a result and they’ll be fighting for it on home turf. Leicester can be a bit patchy away from home, so this one will be a close call I reckon. We know Gayle scored against Chelsea last week and Man United recently, so he’s definitely got it in him.

Southampton v Arsenal: Alexis Sanchez

Judging off how Arsenal played against Man United last week – even though they were defeated – it’s hard not to see them beating Saints here. It’s good to see Charlie Austin back on the scoresheet, so maybe he can find a goal for the home side, but I believe Arsene Wenger’s side will dominate this one.

I’m going to go with Alexis Sanchez to score first, but if he’s fit Lacazette could be a good shout too.

Liverpool v Everton: Mohamed Salah

I was at Everton’s game against Huddersfield last weekend, and although they got the result, I’d be lying if I said that they looked good. They were unconvincing, and the result flattered them. I know it’s a derby game, and people say form goes out of the window, but the way Liverpool are playing at the minute, there’s no way they can beat them.

And Mo Salah? Probably the signing of the summer. He’s brilliant – so let’s go with him.

Manchester United v Manchester City: Romelu Lukaku

Ooft! Now we’re really talking! If this game is anything like the Arsenal game last week, then wow, we’re in for a treat. I know everyone is expecting Man City to walk it, but I don’t agree. It all depends on tactics, and we know Jose Mourinho can be a tactical mastermind.

I’m an ex-United player though, so who else could I go with here?! Lukaku got on the scoresheet in the week, and boy did he need that. His confidence should be back, so we will see what he can do against the rivals.
