Remember Jay Bothroyd? The tall, talented Londoner was on the books at Arsenal until his late teens, and was tipped throughout his Gunners career as a top prospect. He was good enough to earn an England cap in 2010 off the back of some excellent form for Cardiff City.
A few years ago, Bothroyd departed Europe and pitched up Asia, initially at Muangthong United in Thailand, before ending up in the J-League with Jubilo Iwata. After three years with the Yamaha-owned side, he recently made the move to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, and is already making an impact.
