Champions League: Net yourself this ballsy 17/1 treble on tonight’s action

Tuesday could be terrific if this punt hits the back of Paddy’s net…

Man City v Feyenoord: Man City (-2.0) – Evens

If one was to be truly honest here, Feyenoord have about as much chance of winning this as Pep Guardiola suddenly agreeing that Tony Pulis’ school of long ball football was right all along.

It really couldn’t be more of an uphill battle for the Dutch outfit as they travel to Manchester pointless and without a win in four at the bottom of Group F, to face a rampant City side who sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, boasting a perfect European record to date.

The Citizens are on an incredible 16-match winning run (if you include the Carabao Cup victory on penalties over Wolves) and thoroughly put Feyenoord to the sword in their first group stage meeting back in September, winning 4-0 away at De Kuip.

City have scored two or more goals in seven of their last eight outings and we reckon they’ll have the net of the Dutch champions rattling repeatedly later tonight. With (-2.0) handicap coming in at Evens, that’s a tasty gamble that we’ll be tucking into.

Sevilla v Liverpool: Liverpool win – 7/5

If Liverpool’s ship was heading for stormy seas after only two wins in ten games during September and October, then captain Jurgen Klopp has pulled his vessel hard to starboard and The Reds have found calmer waters over the last few weeks.

Four wins on the spin (all by three-goal margins) has lifted the pressure around Anfield to an extent. However, with all due respect to Huddersfield, Maribor, West Ham and Southampton – this week’s games with Sevilla and Chelsea should provide a more telling examination of where Liverpool actually are at the moment.

With the Spaniards providing the opposition tonight, both sides lie fifth in their respective domestic league with 22 points to their names and the even drew 2-2 when they met the first-time round. That makes it about as tight as Daniel Sturridge’s haircut between the two.

Only PSG have scored more than Liverpool in the Champions League this season though and with Mohamed Salah in simply stunning form recently – we’re just going to lean towards The Reds to grab another win at 7/5.

Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham: Draw – 11/4

What has happened lately to the two clubs that usually make football hipsters flood Twitter in their droves with mushy complements?

Spurs come into this contest having lost two of their last five, while things have been even worse for the Germans with only two victories in their last nine! When you add in that Dortmund’s Champions League campaign has been nothing short of a shambles so far, you really do wonder what’s happened to the popular Bundesliga club.

Dortmund find themselves on the brink of elimination with no win in this season’s competition and unbelievably scraped just two points from their back-to-back ties with Cypriot minnows Apoel.

Tottenham are already home and hosed when it comes to qualification for the next round, so their next objective is to top Group H ahead of Real Madrid.

A draw tonight at 11/4 would keep them a point ahead of the defending champions – should Real pick up an expected win in Nicosia – heading into the final round of fixtures and with Apoel at Wembley in their last game, we reckon Mauricio Pochettino would settle for that.
