When you’re a Northerner, what’s better than a free pie at a football match?
I can tell you for a fact that there’s not much that beats that. Especially when your team goes on to win the game, too.
Today, Paddy’s little pie helpers took to Georgie Porgy’s cafe in Liverpool to help make some dreams come true.
Why? We wanted to give out some free pies. But, why?! Because we’re proper sound.
Those who headed to the shop – which is close to Anfield – simply had to flash their Paddy Power app at the door to receive a free pie and portion of chips.
We know how to reward our loyal punters!
And we’re not trying to gloat, but considering Liverpool’s classy performance which led to a 3-0 win over Southampton, we’d say they were a very lucky pastry product indeed…
According to our helpers on the ground, fans gathered around the stadium from around midday, with a queue out of the door at Georgie Porgy’s by 2pm. Over 200 pairs of PP pants were given out and
Over 400 pies complete with chips were passed out too!
That’s some good going, Liverpool fans.
