Koeman odds-on favourite to be next Premier League manager to go

He was delivered a Knockaert blow in today's game against Brighton. Geddit?!

Could it be curtains for Koeman? The Dutchman has found himself under immense pressure recently, finding himself fourth from bottom after seven games prior to today’s visit to Brighton.

The miserable 1-1 draw, which saw Brighton go ahead thanks to a goal from Anthony Knockaert, means The Toffees have now won just three of their last 11 games.

Luckily-ish for him, Wayne Rooney was awarded an 89th minute penalty and saved him from further blushes.

That being said, the disappointing start to the season has seen him rocket to top spot in the Premier League sack race market.

He’s now odds-on at 1/3 to be the next league manager to leave their post. Next in the betting is Slaven Bilic, followed by Roy Hodgson, with his Crystal Palace side notching their first three points of the season against Chelsea yesterday.

The favourite to take his place should he leave is Burnley boss Sean Dyche, followed by another very familiar Dutchman, Louis van Gaal.

Rafa Benitez is also a surprise addition to the betting at 14/1 after being linked with a move to his old club’s local rivals. Now, that one would be a shock.
