We’ve got the international break out of the way, and yes it’s left managers pulling their hair out due to injuries – sorry, Klopp and Mane – but the return of the Premier League means the return of Hotshot Jackpot.
That, in short, means your chance to win £275,000 for free this weekend. We enlisted the help of Paul Ince to pick his fix first goalscorers that can help you land the cash.
Crystal Palace v Chelsea: Eden Hazard
He played against Belgium in the week, and reminded us all (not that we needed it) just how effing good he is. Him and his brother both found the net, and although he’s said not to expect much from his injury return, I’m going with him.
Of course, Alvaro Morata has been confirmed as out of action, so that’s even more reason to pick him if he plays. Chelsea have been stuffed with injuries, so I’m going for this magic man. Michy Batshuayi will be a popular selection, too.
Manchester City v Stoke: Kevin de Bruyne
Ok. Come on. Did you see that strike against Chelsea? I’m going KDB for this one, I think he’s been in unbelievable form, and when he’s playing like that he’s easily one of the best in league.
With Sergio Aguero out after his taxi incident, it’s him or Gabriel Jesus for me. But I just can’t get that goal out of my mind.
Watford v Arsenal: Alexandre Lacazette
I know that Lacazette won the Jackpot for a lad a couple of weeks ago, and as much as I wish that was me, that’s not why I’m picking him!
He was very classy against West Brom, and I think he’ll start this weekend. I just can’t see Arsenal not having a little too much for Watford.
Brighton v Everton: Tomer Hemed
This one really is make or break for Ronald Koeman, I think. He has to get a win or it could be curtains for him, as much as I don’t want that.
I think Brighton might snatch something here – and Tomer Hemed has looked impressive so I’m going to back him.
Southampton v Newcastle: Virgin van Dijk
Bare with me, I know you’re thinking VVD??! WHAT?!
But neither of these two sides are exactly prolific goalscorers, so I’m going for an outside shot with want-away Van Dijk here. He might just nick a set piece, and it’s a bit more interesting than picking all the favourites!
Leicester v West Brom: Jamie Vardy
We all know that Vardy only needs that one little opportunity and he’ll bang one in.
He’s been confirmed as fit and ready to play against West Brom, so I’m backing him to get the first at the King Power this weekend.Shoot over to the latest Premier League odds on PaddyPower.com
