CONMEBOL qualifying. It really has everything, from Messi hat-tricks to Paraguayan call girls [allegedly] sent to seduce the Venezuelan team.
Now, a video has emerged of what appears to be Colombia captain Radamel Falcao ‘encouraging’ Peru’s players to take it easy in light of the fact that the 1-1 status quo during their clash would ease both team’s progress to the World Cup. Given Chile’s defeat to Brazil, a draw would see Colombia automatically through and Peru into the playoffs, where they should make hay against Oceania’s New Zealand.
Nothing has been confirmed – and possibly never will be – but it’s clear that, with a minute or two to play, Falcao was communicating SOMETHING urgent to the Peruvians. And, judging by the video below, there was a visible shift back through the gears from Peru.
